Fantasy Executive Director:

Ruth Erwin joined Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater in October 2009 as Executive Director, where she oversees non-show production projects and committees, marketing and financial operations. From 1999 – 2009, Ruth served as Executive Assistant to the Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. During her tenure at St. Thomas, she was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parish, coordinating the work of the volunteer committees and the staff, and communication within and about the parish. Ruth gained experience in fundraising through her efforts in their annual stewardship campaigns, Capital Campaign to build a new Christian Education wing and leading a 4 sponsorship campaigns for Special Session at Camp McDowell. Prior to her work at St. Thomas, Ruth worked as a corporate trainer for the Federal Aviation Administration and the American Red Cross, as well as several large banks. Ruth has also been an active volunteer in local school and Community Theaters serving as Treasurer for The Academy Children’s Theater (ACT) and Lee Choral Parents Association, head costumer for Lee Lyric Theater, set dresser and props mistress for ACT, Huntsville Community Chorus (HCCA) and Independent Musical Production (IMP).
